Women Of DUMBO Be Warned: There's An "Upskirt Perv" In Our Midst

An anonymous source reported to the website:
"I noticed he was holding his arm a bit outstretched, close to the woman in front of him walking up the stairs. It seemed odd, so I watched the guy as we walked up the ramp. He passed the woman, then slowed again as we reached the next set of stairs, and let her pass him. That is when I confirmed that he was filming under her skirt.I stopped him, alerted the woman, and as he tried to walk away, we saw that he did indeed have the video on. We both followed him for several blocks (crazy, I know), and then reported it to the police. He went into the building above Peas & Pickles [a grocery on Front Street]."
As a DUMBO-based office (and as reasonable, decent human beings) we take this very personally! We want to hunt down this idiot who's making the commute — already the bleakest time of day — a time of fear and sexual endangerment in addition to general irritation.
Unfortunately, that might be hard, since in addition to being an asshole, dude looks real generic. "Frankly, he looks like most people who work in Dumbo (a bit hipster-ish)," said the witness, who described him as a "tall white male with dark, wavy hair."
NYPD detectives are currently on the case, and the York St. station now has an increased police presence. Until further notice, I guess we'll either have take up the never-nude lifestyle, or just keep a sharp eye out. If the good folks at the NYPD happen to be looking into creative sentencing, may we suggest a public pants-ing for this guy? It's an oldie, but a goodie.
