Brooklyn Nets' Joe Johnson, On Moving to the Big City

Joe Johnson’s arrival in Brooklyn was not the end result of careful planning. “I heard about it, like, two days before it happened. And they were telling me there was a good possibility it won’t happen.” The trade, that brought the six-time All-Star guard from the Atlanta Hawks to the newly minted Brooklyn Nets, did happen. Paired with the team’s all-NBA point guard Deron Williams, it locked in a backcourt that was instantly among the league’s most offensively potent.
