-How long have you been living in Brooklyn?
My whole life.
-What brought you here?
My parents desire to live in an interesting city that wasn't where they grew up and raise children in a massive creative community - NYC in the 1970's.
-What do you find to be unique about the artistic community in Brooklyn?
A strange mixture of positivity and follow-through with the weirdest ideas.
-What are some of your inspirations—both in your art/career and just in your everyday life?
The city, a teetering miasma of stimulation and humans instinctively gettin' along. My biggest inspiration is listening to a whole crowd of people engage in multiple conversations at once.
-Do you see yourself staying in Brooklyn?
I love Brooklyn and this is my home. where my family is, where my heart is. Even if I leave I will always be here.
-What's a perfect Brooklyn day for you?
One that's in summer where we zip around. Eating.
-What are the challenges inherent to being an artist in Brooklyn?
Its fucking expensive. Period. So you have to be creative about how you make ends meet, balancing time and money, and finding that special zone to find your art, find your own mind's world. It can be hard won, but what we achieve too easily we esteem to lightly.
