How to Fucking Recycle in NYC

Recycling in NYC curbside pickup
What the Fuck Do I Do With All This Shit?
All plastic, metal, and glass recyclables—along with cartons, like orange juice and soy milk and Juicy Juice boxes—should be bagged together in clear or blue bags. Don't be lazy and put them in tall kitchen bags and place the garbage bag in a recycling container and trust that the sanitation department will trust you to have thrown garbage away properly when they can't see what you've bagged. Just buy clear garbage bags, dammit. Your local supermarket's generic brand is cheap. It also makes sense to keep a separate garbage can in the home for such items; or, like me, just a bag sitting on the floor in a corner of your kitchen. It takes one second to separate trash as you're throwing it away; it's a pain to try to sort it all out on collection day. [photo]
