Brooklyn Estates & Properties Realty
Though not all accusations of housing discrimination are necessarily true. In 2011, an appellate court affirmed a lower-court decision and ruled against Jamel Daniels, who had accused Brooklyn Estates And Properties Realty of denying him an apartment in Coney Island based on his race. Daniels said an employee had told him his application had been rejected because of race, but he had no evidence to support this, while the realty company provided evidence that Daniels fell short of the required income and credit levels (which might be its own form of indirect racism, but that's a whole other conversation).
