  • Richard Hawley — who was the guitarist for the sweet Britpop also-rans the Longpigs, and a frequent contributor to Pulp, the preeminent British satirists of the late 20th and early 21st century — is at Bowery Ballroom tonight with songs from his lush, classical pop album Lady's Bridge. The opening act is the similarly inclined, but much more ridiculously named Ferraby Lionheart.
  • Moving Image's Technicolor series is in its final weekend; I'd recommend Douglas Sirk's swooning, aching, extravagantly color-coded All That Heaven Allows, a go-to text for students of melodrama (like Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Todd Haynes, to name two).

Ok, that's all for me, now I wanna sniff some glue. See you Monday.
