Video of the Day, for Your Sunday Viewing Pleasure

Posted by Mark on Sun, Dec 9, 2007 at 1:00 AM

Susanne Overbeck's Desperate Not Desperate:

Slightly more info here, here.

This video was built way, way up for me before I saw it. The first time I watched it, I thought it was stilted and had a lot of dead air. But then I watched it again, and again, and now I have it pretty much memorized.

3 of 5 L's on that vid, last part is the best.

Also, if you guys are thinking of going to that Herzog / Kinski thing at MOMA later in the week, be warned prints of Aguirre and Woyzeck are noticeably color faded. Fitzcarraldo looks quite good except for minor scratches at reel ends. Worth mentioning is Popol Vuh, and their soundtrack work on Aguirre and Fitzcarraldo, (btw the music that opens Nosferatu gives me shivers.)
