Modern Mondays is a (relatively) new weekly program at the MoMA, in which a filmmaker or media artist shows up in person to show a selection of his (or hers, ladies can make art too) work. It's held every Tuesday, except for tonight, that is, this Monday night, when MoMA's Modern Mondays presents Mario Rizzi. Rizzi is based in Italy but has worked all over Europe, and makes narrative works and multi-screen installations; tonight he's screening and talking about Murat and Ismail (pictured), which he made after a stay in Istanbul, and concerns cultural and generational clash at a father-and-son shoemaker's shop in the Turkish capital.
