Or perhaps some poetry. There's a tribute to poet and translator of the Greek classics Robert Fagles tonight, at the Times Center at 7pm, and costs $15. There will be an embarrassment of poets and literary figures, including Robert Fagles himself, plus

Francine du Plessix Gray, Edith Grossman, Shirley Hazzard, Richard Howard, J. D. McClatchy, Charles McGrath, Gregory Rabassa, David Remnick, and C. K. Williams.
If you've ever read The Iliad, The Odyssey, or The Aeneid, there's a decent chance you read Fagles' version. Here's an excerpt from his Aeneid to help you start your day.
And then as he gasped his last in flames from his riven chest
she swept him up in a cyclone, impaled the man on a crag.
Stocking stuffer!
