If you work in DUMBO, like we do, you know of course that Brooklyn Bridge Park is beautiful and your lunch hour is not nearly long enough (although it's now set up for wi-fi, apparently? I plan on testing this out at some point in the very near future). Also, it's the site of the annual Humphrey Family Thanksgiving Day Football Game. And this summer, in addition to the annual Thursday night Movies with a View outdoor film series, it's hosting Music at the Bridge, a free Wednesday night music series to be held at the Tobacco Warehouse right under the Bridge, each night curated by a Brooklyn venue. Bridge Including tonight's lineup, courtesy the fine folks of Park Slope's world cafe Barbès, and featuring their panamerican go-to ensemble Las Rubias Del Norte, the young classical ensemble The Parker String Quartet, and the long-running West African group The Mandingo Ambassadors.
