Daniel. Jean Georges. Both incredible.
Museum show: The Horse exhibition at the Museum of Natural History is unrecommended. It had the chance to be the satisfaction of girlhood fantasy, but instead it was all shades of dull brown, lots of cross-sections of dirt, lots of old saddles, a few horse skeletons, and creepy videos about horse teeth and the men who've been studying horse teeth for 35 years. And the Twilight-Zone-esque soundtrack to the horse teeth video permeated throughout the exhibition. Children were streaming through the show, uninterested, for the most part. Except for this one nerd kid who, immediately after entering, yelled "Horses are boring until you get used to it!" They didn't even have a real stuffed horse. Unrecommended. Good gift shop section, though.
What is recommended is buying student-price tickets with a credit card. They're $6 less than regular admission ($20 versus $26--still so expensive, though), and you just pick them up with the same credit card at the kiosk, and no one asks you for a student ID. Because it's always good to cheat a museum.
