It's about people realizing how fucked up and confusing it is to be an American, about coming to grips with the realities of your surroundings and recognizing that it's within your power to overcome them — not with financial aid or small business loans, but by looking inward and just knowing that somehow, someday, you will come out on top, on your own terms and by your own means. It's an anthem for dreamers who are in danger of becoming jaded, by a guy who understands how disastrous that would be, for the individual, for the country and for the world.
