Special Events Russian Tanks Enter Suburban Atlanta

At this point most of you are aware of some shit going down between Russia and former Soviet satellite Georgia, a nicely timed land war to distract us from the Chekhovian heartbreak of Canadian synchronized diving. And while neo-cons aplenty are quietly touching themselves with joy at the prospect of Cold War III, our old friend Keith Gessen (a bit of a Russian himself) has some pretty sensible things to say about the whole affair over at his lil Tumblr.
Wow, can you imagine if we had our very own World War to go along with our very own Depression?
(P.S. My brother, a Russian translator, once called us at home from Tbilisi during some kind of running street battle back in the early 90s. True story.)

oh yeah I went to my fav polish newssite to read about this missile treaty and that Russia will now nuke Poland, but you know what the big news over there is? bigfoot exists!
