Etsy, once again, is the subject of a post! We can't get enough of it, really, and neither should you. We have had the pleasure of attending a number of DIY holiday craft fairs in our day, and there are a good number of them
happening all over the city this month. However, the New New York Etsy Team's
Holiday Handmade Calvacade sounds best to us. It's a one-day event at the Knitting Factory -- which means one of your fave rock venues will lend itself to three floors worth of indie shopping sprees, from 10 am-5 pm tomorrow.
The L Magazine is delighted to be a sponsor of this event. As such, we were going to think of some Top 5 list of why you should attend, but then the clever Calvacade people
wrote a blog post about it before we could. They are quick like that.
Go stare at the
list of vendors, and try not to drool all over yourself. We mean, seriously: hot toddy, artisinal goods, buying local/handmade, turning the Knitting Factory into a one-day pop-up shop, getting your holiday shopping done in a day without setting foot into a place where
people actually trample the sales help... we're there, we hope you will be, too.
