Bill-O and Rick H

None of this is exactly news any longer, but we just got caught up on Hendrick Hertzberg's blog today. And his juicy explanation of Bill O'Reilly's dumb take-down of his Prop 8 piece is presented so coolly, with just the right number of helpful asides and semi-insider chuckles (of course he has "a weakness for street weirdos," of course), that it makes us want to throw streamers and jump and yell hurrahs.
Sidenote: David Remnick writes some mega-courteous e-mails, which is not surprising in the least, although we're delighted to get a peek at them. Respectfully yours. Ponder that, O'Reilly, you idiotic gasbag.
