Truly, ours is an age of wonders. And a nation of morons.

A wonderful, wonderful Times article, on how judges are having to contend with jurors who, like children idly playing with their genitals, reflexively yank out their portable wireless devices to Google and Wikipedia and Facebook whenever they hear a proper noun, thus gaining access to evidence specifically excluded from the trial.

The article is worth reading all the way through, for the excerpts from the Twitter account of a 29-year-old Wal-Mart manager who might have invalidated a $12.6 million dollar civil suit judgment by Tweeting his time on the jury.
