News Green Hero of the Week: Morrissey

The Times reports:
The European Parliament voted this week to ban almost all trade in seal pelts and products [in] the latest challenge to thousands of residents of coastal communities in northeastern Canada that have long supplemented their income by clubbing tens of thousands of young harp seals to death each spring to harvest their spotted pelts.
Clearly, a humane and environmentally sound movie.
Equally clearly, an action never would have been taken were it not for Morrissey's boycott of... well, Canada (no Canadian tour dates since 2004!), in a courageous stand against baby seal clubbing. Thank you, Morrissey, for saving the baby seals.
