10e6/1242834247-theatertomorrow.jpgIntrepid L Mag theater critic Alexis Clements' ongoing coverage of Spring theater festival pandemonium continues today with her awesome interview with Target Margin Theater's David Herskovits. In it, Herskovitz discusses how the decision to have the group's series Theater of Tomorrow (continuing through June 7) focus on American theater from the first half of the 20th century came about, what he thinks of regional theater, triple-lattes and facile period adaptations of Shakespeare.

Herskovits also touches on his company's aesthetic and casting principles, his belief that going to the theater is the antidote to our globalizing cultural homogeneity, and how the best plays are like journeys to a foreign country. To find out how these ideas play out in the Theater of Tomorrow series read the whole interview here, or click here for the series' schedule details, and here for venue details.
