Special Screenings: Shakespeare Ballet and Student Documentary

At the Baryshnikov Arts Center the latest installment of BAC Flicks happens tonight with a screening of A Midsummer Night's Dream (this version, pictured at right), with ballet choreographed by George Balanchine and danced by Suzanne Farrell, Edward Villella, Arthur Mitchell, Mimi Paul, Jacques d’Amboise. The screening (7pm, $10) will be followed by a reception and Q&A with Suzanne Farrell. Click here for details and tickets.

Meanwhile, the New School's two-day documentary film festival Truth Be Told kicks off tonight with a free screening of five short docs about the experience of migration. The fest continues tomorrow night with six films chronicling the hardships of lives dedicated to art and activism. Screenings are at 7pm at 66 West 12th St, click here for details.
