Queensboro Bridge Turns 100, Gets Artsy

8913/1243461659-queensboro_bridge.box.jpgThat sexy steel structure slinking between Midtown Manhattan and Long Island City recently marked its big 1-0-0, and to celebrate the L.I.C. Artists group is throwing a summer-long art showcase that kicks off today. The centerpieces of the celebration are five exhibitions in and around Queens Plaza featuring 44 artists curated by Judith Tolnick Champa that go up today and continue through July 31. The party gets especially huge this weekend when 150 artists in the area hold open studios. Click here for all the details.
