Music My Favorite Band of the Day

I slept like crazy on this Little Joy record when it was released last November, most likely because I was busy telling people what to buy me for my birthday (sweaters), or thinking about what I might tell people to buy me for Christmas (sweaters), but now that the weather is warming up, this shit is starting to click in a very real way. The band features Fabreeeeetzio!!!!! from the Strokes, along with his girlfriend, Binky Shapiro, and Rodrigo Amarante of Los Hermanos, and they do this wonderful kind of hazy, sun-baked Calexico thing, with the added bonus of Fab's spot-on pop sensibilities/swagger. They're playing tonight at Bowery, and just in case you won't be in attendance, or even if you will, check out the video after the jump.
