New Video: Jay-Z's "D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)"

Jay-Z's first single off his forthcoming sequel-to-the-sequel Blueprint 3, "D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)", left me pretty lukewarm (although that No I.D. beat is amazing, somebody needs to remix it and kill it). The new video (premiered last night after the B.E.T. Awards) directed by Anthony Mandler and featuring cameos from Harvey Keitel and Lebron James is similarly blah. Jay looks appropriately middle-aged, and his claims that he's "so Brooklyn" come off as disingenuous when he spends half the video pretending to be in a version of Little Italy from a Martin Scorsese movie and the other half on the waterfront in Greenpoint, which isn't exactly what I think of when I hear Jigga rapping about Brooklyn:

Still, shit blowing up in slow motion never gets old, right?

In other Jigga news from last night's BET Awards, his surprise performance only went ahead after the organizers agreed to cancel Chris Brown's Michael Jackson tribute:
