Art / Music / Special Events Summer Sessions Begin Tonight

My favorite Queens art space (sorry, PS1) Sculpture Center (44-19 Purves St at Jackson Ave) kicks off its series of live shows tonight with Summer Sessions, a part of their expansive exhibition/school/performance art piece The University of Trash (through August 3). The show takes place in their neon green courtyard (at right) and features performances by Lucky Dragons, Zola Jesus,Wet Hair (5-10pm, $7). Their slate of summer shows continues through August 1st, and the University of Trash features a packed slate of other events like workshops and lectures.
