Anne Frank + Frankenstein = Great Comedy or Offensive Joke?

Anne Frankenstein
Word just arrived to our theater inbox that a new play that's been stitched together from pieces of The Diary of Anne Frank and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein will begin performances at 13th Street Rep on October 1st.

The main character is Anne, a hermaphroditic monster girl who's been living in an abandoned genetics lab since being deserted by her creator, Dr. Gustav Frankenstein. When the doc comes back in 1945, however, Anne finds out that his latest project is to resurrect Adolf Hitler. Most of the cast are drag queens and burlesque performers, so expect high camp and lots of musical numbers. Until the show's website goes live, here's what we think the poster should look like.
