In the slow drive to gain acceptance as a legitimate
artistic medium, video game design has begun to rely increasingly on the eccentric imaginations of
indie designers, rather than
epic production powerhouses. Well, score one small victory for the former, as Ubisoft developer William David recently announced his departure from the transnational gaming company by creating a small, moody video game called
Leaving (pictured). It's very simple, but strangely moving. Williams plans to continue to work as a developer, so we should expect similarly great things from him in the future.
