Jay-Z is Recession Proof, But You Already Knew That.

The video for "Run This Town," the much blogged-about Jay-Z single featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, has reached the internet. With it comes proof that the recession is very much over, at least in the realm of hip-hop. Just when you thought the days of elaborate, pricey video shoots had gone the way of the dinosaur, these three come correct with some shit that looks like a cross between The Matrix and Gladiator. I can't figure out how to embed it, so just go here and watch. And pay close attention at 2:38 or so when Rihanna flashes the double middle finger during the "fuck the other side, they jealous" line. The finalized track list also came out yesterday. Weirdly, Nas has been replaced by Alicia Keys on "Empire State of Mind," whose title is an obvious allusion to Nas' "N.Y. State of Mind" tracks. Otherwise it's pretty much the same:
