Electric Literature Continues to Be Cool (And Hopeful About the Future of Literature)

Posted by on Mon, Sep 21, 2009 at 1:57 PM

Damn, mad props once again to the smarty pants at Electric Literature. Not only are their single-sentence animations gorgeous (see the new Michael Cunningham joint below), but E.L. Editor-in-Chief Andy Hunter has penned this very thoughtful take on the future of literary publishing, calling for, among other things, an Etsy.com model in the world of books.

The crisis in publishing creates an opening, an opportunity for independents to take the middle—the creative space between the avant-garde and the blockbuster—but it will require both virtual and physical activism.

Amen, dude.
