What better moment than the current recession-times to finally bring the
Enron musical to Broadway? The Lucy Prebble play mixes fact and fiction, music, dance and video to recount the events that saw the Houston power giant die really fast in a fiasco that foreshadowed our current New Depression, is currently playing a sold-out run in
London and will be making the cross-Atlantic transfer come April for an open-ended run at an as yet unnamed Broadway theater.
According to Blog Stage, no casting announcements have been made just yet, but the production will feature an all-new American cast. The play has also been optioned by Sony for a feature film that Prebble will adapt herself, and which already has an IMDb page that proclaims a 2012 release date.
