R. Kelly: A Surprisingly Good Motivational Speaker

Posted by Mike Conklin on Wed, Oct 7, 2009 at 11:25 AM

R. Kelly delivered a speech last week at an event called "Funeral of Hate," which was organized by the Midwest Music Network. In response to a question about breaking into the music industry, Kelly said a ton of completely crazy shit, like "When you hear me sing, you ain't hearing no singer, you're hearing a survivor, boo," or "I don't write songs, I write life," or "The only reason I graduated from grammar school was 'cause I had a great jump shot." Then he makes some awesome "I Believe I Can Fly" jokes. (Prefix)
