R-O-B Pike Loop
Since last week, and continuing through October 27, the architects and engineers at Gramazio & Kohler will be hard at work with their giant, very cool and vaguely creepy robotic building arm, R-O-B (pictured), constructing "Pike Loop", a site-specific installation on the Pike Street median between Division Street and East Broadway. The project, organized by the Storefront for Art and Architecture and the DOT's Urban Art Program, will be literally building itself every day between 9am and 7pm before an inauguration on October 27 and will remain on view through November 14.

More views after the jump.
