Snoop Dogg's New Record Sounds Good, Looks Terrible

Coming off the relative success of last year's super-slick Ego Trippin', Snoop Dogg's next record is shaping up to be a more straight-forward hip-hop album, right down to the cheesy cover art. After an early promo—Indian-spiced "Snoop Dogg Millionaire"—and the first single ("Gangsta Luv"), Snoop Dogg just released a third track and the official album cover (pictured) for his next release, Malice n Wonderland, which comes out on December 8.

As Vulture points out, the album art looks like it was designed by a 13 year-old and drawn by a third-rate comic book artist—not the first time the multi-platinum rapper and cultural icon has skimped on his album art. At least the new track, "Protocol", is solid L.A. gangsta stuff over a dark, dramatic beat.
