Maurice Agis Headed to the Big Dreamspace in the Sky

Maurice Agis, most famous for his inflatable color cathedrals
Dreamspace (pictured), died last Monday at the age of 77. Though he was perhaps best-known for the
2006 incident in which one such
Dreamspace came unhinged from its moorings and resulted in the death of two women, Agis' contributions to Pop art, and his playfully spectacular explorations of the places where art and architecture meet, were invaluable to the development of contemporary art. The
