The Clipse Go Pop Art on New Album Cover

Posted by on Thu, Nov 12, 2009 at 8:36 AM

In the build-up to their eagerly-anticipated third album, Til the Casket Drops (drops December 8), The Clipse have recruited New York-based graphic designer, graffiti and Pop artist KAWS to design the cover art for all the singles and the album. Yesterday the final album art for Casket leaked, and it's quite a bit pinker and brighter than you might expect for a record with such an ominous title. Check it out after the jump.

Word of the leak came via Complex, for whom KAWS designed an amazing limited edition cover featuring The Clipse. He also designed the cover of New York's 2009 Best of issue, and is generally an exciting artist and designer. It's nice to see more rappers actually putting some thought into their album covers, or at least hiring someone to do so—Snoop could learn a thing or two from these young'ns.
