New Monsters of Folk Video Features Zero Nudity

Posted by Mike Conklin on Fri, Nov 13, 2009 at 1:02 PM

Pitchfork's got the new Monsters of Folk video today, for a song called "Say Please" from the band's underwhelming self-titled debut. It looks like a clip from Saving Private Ryan at first, with M. Ward, Jim James and Mike Mogis dressed as soldiers. Then they wind up at some sort of old-timey party in the middle of nowhere, and they join Conor Oberst on a makeshift stage to perform the song. The whole thing is pretty embarrassing. And no one even gets naked.

(I don't know why this embed is so small. Go here for a better one.)

I think our musical tastes are too similar sometimes. It was supremely underwhelming.
