Tonight: Darlings at Bruar Falls

Posted By on Mon, Nov 16, 2009 at 3:06 PM

If forced to boil all of indie rock down to a single thematic statement, "I have a heart of a teenage girl" could very well be your best bet. In the new video for their sweetly slapdash single "Teenage Girl," L Mag faves Darlings translate the sentiment into desaturated, soft-focus images of above-average looking people hanging out on a summer day in Brooklyn. It's like a trailer for a John Hughes movie about kids who grew up watching John Hughes movies. We recommend watching, then going to see them tonight at Bruar Falls, where they'll be playing a free show with long-time purveyors of playful, raunchy pop, Home.
