So, Arcade Fire
has basically become Radiohead now, in that every single time they do anything, or even when someone else just says
they've done something, it's newsworthy. And because I can't bear to be behind on the news cycle, here you go: NME is reporting
that the new Arcade Fire record is being produced by Markus Dravs, who also produced 2007's Neon Bible
. The band hasn't made any official statements yet, but Marcus Mumford of British Band Marcus and the Sons, who also recorded their last album with Dravs, spilled the beans in an interview with BBC 6music
when he said, "I don't know if I’m allowed to say this but yeah, he’s working on the next Arcade Fire record at the moment." Want to know what it sounds like? No problem, he's got you covered.
"I keep asking Markus how it’s going and he's like, 'Yeah, it’s okay'," he said. "And I'm like, 'What are the songs like?' And he goes, 'Better'."
So there you go. The new Arcade Fire record is better.
