Maybe the biggest flop among Broadway's current slate of productions starring Hollywood actors, the revival of David Mamet's
Oleanna that opened just under two months ago featuring Julia Stiles and Bill Pullman was originally expected to close on January 6, but according to an announcement sent out by the producer Jeffrey Finn today the show's final performance will be on Sunday, December 6. Attendance figures for the campus drama, about a student (Stiles) who accuses her professor (Pullman) of sexual harassment, has been among the lowest of Broadway shows, and generally negative
reviews seem to have undermined the leading duo's star appeal. Nice to see that stunt-casting doesn't guarantee financial success.
