Kid Cudi Rapping Over Vampire Weekend is Really Awesome

Posted by Benjamin Sutton on Thu, Dec 3, 2009 at 10:37 AM

Kid Cudi
After earning middle-of-the-road to downright negative reviews (like mine) for his much-anticipated major label debut Man on the Moon: End of Day a couple months ago, Kid Cudi has been fairly low-profile. (Except when he surprised a Toronto crowd by bringing hometown lame-o Drake onstage last week.) And then, a couple days ago, Cudi posted an aptly titled freestyle ("cudderisback") that he recorded over Vampire Weekend's "Ottoman" to his blog, and it's really very enjoyable. If only he'd collaborated with VW instead of Ratatat on his record. Check it out:

What do you mean negative reviews?! Man on the Moon: The End of Day received mostly favourable reviews! I think it's amazing! It's probably my favourite album.
