Copenhagen Climate Change Conference Kicks Off with Scrapped Sequence from 2012

Cop15
The huge climate change conference, COP15, kicked off in Copenhagen yesterday, and already there are some promising things happening, like Gordon Brown saying that EU countries should push their goals for emissions cuts to 30 percent rather than their current goal of 20 percent by 2020. To be sure, there's some not so great news too, like a new report showing that the aughts were the warmest decade on record and that things are getting hotter, and that our prez won't show up until the last day or two to make some closing remarks. All this and more is explained quite effectively in the short video "“Please Help the World" that opened the conference yesterday, in which a young girl dreams that she's in the new Roland Emmerich movie. Check it out after the jump. (Underwire)
