I was reminded of being with men and women from the Unitarian faith tradition last year as they celebrated Mary who by her [ascent], they believed, was one of the first women in the New Testament to express Choice.
Which is just another reason I love Unitarians. (Hi Mom!)

"Behold the handmaiden of the Lord, be it done to me according to Your Word." These are expressions of humility. She was a pure Virgin, who loved God above all things. This is an expression of humility...holy humility...holy obedience...which is rooted in the spirit of Love of God! It was GOD WHO EXERCISED HIS CHOICE! He chose her "from the foundations of the universe" to be the Mother of His Son--the Savior--who was promised and who, in the Old Testaments, was prophesied, numerous times with details of locations of where this Holy Event would occur.
The image posted above is a "sacrilege" because it depicts Mary as a worldly woman, and I would ask, kindly, that you remove it from this site. Thank you.
