A British-born Brooklyn DJ died yesterday when she was sideswiped by a truck as she rode her bike in Greenpoint. Solange Raulston, 33, known as DJ Reverend Soul, had been set to play a gig just hours after the noon tragedy.
This city still really sucks for cyclists. And while we all like the new bike lanes (except for the disappearing ones) let's not forget that NYC spends only $0.61 per person on bike and pedestrian infrastructure, compared to a $1.39 national average for metro areas. That's not good enough.
