Politics Joe Lieberman Truly One of the Worst Human Beings on the Planet

Fearing he might not be the center of attention for a few minutes, Joe Lieberman seems to have backed off last week's tentative Senate compromise, vowing to filibuster if Democrats should have the temerity to make it easier for low-income Americans between 55-64 to get health care. I hate Joe Lieberman, and if you like Joe Lieberman, you're no friend of mine.

As Howard Dean (and I) said in the early fall, if health care reform is to have any real impact, it'll have to come through reconciliation, and John Podesta seems to agree with me (us).
