The
New York Times has an absolutely
amazing slideshow up of images of deep space, courtesy the Hubble Telescope, put together by Michael Benson for his book,
Far-Out: A Space-Time Chronicle. It is absolutely beautiful and you must go see it—this shit is way cooler than anything Hollywood has ever imagined.
GO NOW. And seriously, why worry about the small shit when our galaxy is GOING TO CRASH?
The colliding Antenna Galaxies [pictured], a hyperkinetic smashup in space, may approximate what will happen when the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy collide in about 2.5 billion years.
