Street Artist TrustoCorp Plants Sarcastic Signs All Over Dumbo

Posted By on Mon, Jan 11, 2010 at 12:41 PM

According to DumboNYC, orange and red street signs with Tom Otterness-ish cartoon characters and unusual messages like "Fat Zone," "Life is Too Short," "Substance Abuse" and "It's Okay to Play With Yourself" (pictured) appeared on posts throughout Dumbo on Friday, the handiwork of street artist TrustoCorp—notice the winged "T" at the bottom of the sign, her/his signature. As our little neighborhood seems to be constantly crawling with cops and city construction crews, I imagine the signs were probably all gone by this morning, but I will go out and check right now.
