News Life in Haiti Just Gets Worse

The earthquake in Haiti has been devastating. I'm not big on disaster porn, so here's a useful list of charities to which you can contribute, along with the trailer for Jonathan Demme's fantastic 2003 movie, The Agronomist, the story of Jean Dominique, a charming, bad-ass, courageous organizer who was a thorn in the side of Haiti's corrupt ruling class for 30 years.
