The museum is getting a head start on the next Triennial, slated to open in April 2012, so that it doesn't necessarily have to resort to such curatorial crowd-sourcing. According to the New York Times, Eungie Joo, the New Museum’s curator and director of education and public planning, has been appointed the curator for the second Triennial. As for the show's theme, Joo told the Times: “I’m hoping to do more research myself. I want to see what unfolds before I come up with a theme.” Well, following the first's "The y: More y than x" formula, how about "The Intellectual: Smarter than God," or "The Canonical: More Important than Leonardo"?
