News Pat Robertson's Thoughts on Haiti Shocking, Even For Him

Of course, we were all just waiting for Robertson to say something crazy, after he blamed Hurricane Katrina on legalized abortion and agreed with Jerry Falwell that "the ACLU has got to take a lot of blame for [9/11]."
Anyway, to win their own freedom, Americans made no pact with the devil. (Just the French, which is close.) Obviously, that's because they were overwhelmingly white. If you think about it, what Robertson said starts to make sense. How else could dark-skinned peoples have defeated a white-European army, if not with the aide of Satan himself?
Oh, sorry. Living in a post-race society means we can't say that racism is racist anymore, right?
Anyway, isn't it a lot easier to blame the Haitians' crisis on themselves? Especially because if you've been listening to Democracy Now! all week, you know that Haiti's poverty is totally our fault.
