New Free Wu-Tang Mixtape Is Best Beatles-Rap Mashup Since Grey Album

Almost exactly six years after Danger Mouse proved the infinite malleability of The Beatles' catalog and its weird adaptability to rap a cappellas on his now legendary Jay-Z remix record, The Grey Album, Tom Caruana of Tea Sea Records has released an excellent compilation of Wu-Tang Clan members' lyrics set to Beatles songs and covers of Beatles songs. Instrumentals on Enter the Magical Mystery Chambers (available for free download here) are much less extensively chopped and tweaked than on the Grey Album, which makes for a mellower, more Beatles-y record.

The interludes are packed full of poignant interview snippets with both legendary groups, and some of the stand-out tracks (though the whole tape is outstanding) include Method Man's "Release Yo Self" over "Come Together", "C.R.E.A.M." over "And I Love Her" and my favorite, Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Got Your Money" over "You Never Give Me Your Money":
