site is so sparse that there's not even an "about" page or explanatory blurb, but I imagine it has something to do with the rather abstract nature of the ampersand, which, without anything to its right or left, is just a beautifully choreographed set of loops and lines, and very much open to the individual interpretations of different typographers. So, for instance, today's ampersand is
a little meh, but Saturday's (pictured) has a lot of character and
last Monday's is bat-shit crazy. (
