News Things That Are Obvious: iPhone Theft Latest Hot Trend in Williamsburg

A brief and delightful scan through the Brooklyn Paper's brief and irritatingly cutesy delightful police blotter tells me that smart-phone theft is UNDENIABLY on the rise in Williamsburg.
Exhibit A: Dude gets punched in face on Morgan Avenue for his iPhone.
Exhibit B: Lady gets "asked the time" and has iPhone stolen in Greenpoint.
Exhibit C: Dude gets punched on Driggs Avenue and gets Blackberry stolen.
I rest my case. Obviously, the iPhone crime prevention apps reviewed in the video below are not working, despite the fact that "wherever you go you can calculate the statistical likelihood of getting raped or robbed."
